Hurricane Sandy

Hey guys! i hope everyone that got hit with the hurricane is safe! Here are some pics. of the damage done around my neighborhood. 

we had to board up a window

our next store neighbor's fence fell down from the wind into our backyard

our other next store neighbor's on tree branch split of the tree and now it's covering their whole yard

Doll dress up printable

just print this out and you can dress up this doll in no time!!

no sew doll mermaid costume

what you'll need:

• any colored paper(for the tail)
• hole puncher
• string or yarn
• pencil
• scissors 
• look at the picture if u don't understand my instructions 

what to do:

1. draw the kind of tail you want your doll to have measure her waist and leg length on the paper
2. know it's time to make the tail customized. add glitter, scales, fabric scraps, buttons, cotton balls, or beads to make it your own.
3. after it dries (if you glued anything on) cut out the tail
4. at the top 2 corners punch a hole at each corner for the string or yarn to go through
5. string the yarn or string through the holes
6. put the tail at the front of your dolls legs and then tie the string in the back
7. now you have the most easiest to make doll mermaid costume!!!

This costume is sooooo cute i had to post it. Of course our dog Taffy had to sneak into the picture with her fangs hangin out.I know i didn't spend much time on mine as u guys can. I just hope that hurricane sandy doesn't ruin Halloween for us all:(

What u need:

• cheerios 
• powdered sugar

 What to do:

1. get some cheerios out 
2. dip them in the powdered sugar
3. and now u have a yummy treat for your doll

Hi again! Guess what? My cousin made her own doll blog today and it's called dollwithablog.blogspot.com even though i think she got that from dog with a blog on disney channel you have to admit it's a creative name.

Halloween Before and After

Hiya! These are before and after pictures I took of a doll room I made under my sister's desk. I used little Halloween finger puppets and hung the bat from the ceiling and the ghost on the wall. Then I took some doll sized Halloween boxes and put them beside the bed. Last I took web stuff and put it in the entrance way.

Fall Fest

Me and Claire both went to separate fall festivals today and have the best time ever! We played in the hay, went in the pumpkin patch, and went through a corn maze. Here are some pictures!!

How to do a braided bun.

1. braid your doll's hair and put a rubber band at the end.
2. curl the braid up into a ball and pin it there with bobby pins.
3. and your done wasn't that easy?

Doll trick or treat bag

Get to know Caroline Abbott

Caroline is 9 years old and lives in Sackets Harbor, New York in the time of 1812. She has blonde curly hair and blue eyes.  She loves to sail on the lake near her called Lake Ontario. Her pet is a black cat inkpot. She dreams to be a captain of her own ship.

Rainy Day Blues

Today is a rainy day but now the sun is peaking out! As you can see Claire and Nikki were playing outside.

Yarn doll

               How to make a yarn doll 
what you need: 

•  any color yarn
• scissors
•  a different color yarn

1. you take a book the size of a notebook or a notebook and rap the yarn around it 40 times
2. you slide the yarn off and then cut a piece of yarn off and double knot it around a part of the looped yarn
3. then you make a loop at the top of your yarn and tie that with a piece of yarn for the head.
4. next cut the bottom the the yarn where it makes it a loop so that there is no loop anymore
5. then separate 2 parts on the sides to make the arms. u can either tie them at the end or braid them.
6. tie a piece different colored of yarn a little bit below the arms to make the body
7.  if you want her to have a skirt leave it hanging if you want legs seperate 2 more parts and tie them at the end
8. for the hair look at the head. see all the yarn strings? take the color you want your doll's doll hair to be colored and tie them on the doll head strings.

Now this is what mine looks like but yours may look differant like u may have done legs or tied ur arms
